Dale Bradley
Background, public record, forum positions and unanswered questions for Dale Bradley, a 2026 Armstrong councillor candidate.
Office: Councillor
Dale Bradley brings decades of project-management experience and has made fact-checking and problem-solving central to his campaign.
At the forum, Bradley said he had been speaking directly with downtown businesses about Pleasant Valley Boulevard and wanted to work with both merchants and City professionals rather than rely on rumours.
His housing answer was more unusual.
Bradley focused heavily on transaction costs: property-transfer taxes, real-estate fees, taxes on construction materials and the way costs compound through repeated property sales.
Those are legitimate housing-cost questions.
Many of them, however, are primarily provincial, federal or private-sector matters rather than policies Armstrong council can directly repeal.
That makes jurisdiction a useful question in evaluating his platform.
Previous public office: No elected office identified; reports planning-commission experience.
Community record: Project management, firefighting and community involvement.
From the forum: Emphasized fact-checking and transaction costs as part of the housing-affordability problem.
Another way to look at it: Understanding broader cost pressures matters, but a councillor also needs to distinguish between problems City Hall can change and those it can only advocate about.
What I’d like to know: Which housing-cost barrier under Armstrong’s direct control would Bradley tackle first?
